İzmir Airport to Didim
Prices last verified: 11 September 2026For travelers heading to the Altınkum resorts at Didim — the longest airport run on this site, so the budget-versus-comfort trade-off matters most here. Be aware that Didim is the one destination on this site with no confirmed direct airport coach: the public-transport route means a connection, and we have flagged below exactly which parts we could verify and which we could not.

Havaş from İzmir Airport to Didim
A confirmed Havaş coach, then a regional connection via Söke, then a local taxi. The longest route on this site, and the only one where we cannot verify every leg.
For airport-wide detail on this option — fares, other routes, last departures — see the full Havaş guide.
- 1
Take the Havaş coach toward Kuşadası or Aydın
This first leg is the confirmed part. Exit Arrivals, find the Havaş bay on the forecourt, and take the Kuşadası coach (02:00, 07:30, 09:30, 11:00, 13:00, 15:00, 17:00, 19:00, 21:00, 23:30) or the Aydın coach (02:00, 07:30, 09:30, 11:00, 13:00, 15:30, 17:30, 19:30, 21:30, 23:30). Both are ₺550 and take about 90 minutes. Travel in the morning so the onward connection is still running.

- 2
Change to a regional coach via Söke
Söke is the usual interchange for Didim, and regional operators run the Söke to Didim leg through the day. We could not confirm the operator, timetable or fare from an official source, so ask at the bus station ticket windows on arrival and budget roughly ₺200 as a planning figure rather than a quoted price. This leg is the reason the route only works in daylight.

- 3
Arrive at Didim otogar
The coach ends at the Didim bus station on the edge of town, not at the Altınkum beachfront hotels. You will need a short taxi for the last stretch.

- 4
Take a local taxi to your hotel
The taxi rank is at the otogar. Ask the driver to start the meter. The ride to the Altınkum resort strip or the marina is short, usually well under 15 minutes.

Taxi from İzmir Airport to Didim
Use the official rank, meter on. At this distance, confirm the driver is happy to run the meter the whole way before you set off. Typical fare is ₺4,800 · ≈ €102 (estimated range — Didim is outside İzmir province, where the tariff is 50% higher by law), taking about ~1 h 45. For the meter rules and the airport-taxi scam to avoid, see taxis in Turkey.
Public-transport alternatives
Havaş, the airport coach operator, does not list Didim as a destination from İzmir Adnan Menderes. What it does run is a confirmed coach to Kuşadası (₺550, about 90 minutes) and another to Aydın city centre (₺550, about 90 minutes). Either works as a first leg, with an onward regional coach via Söke. We have not been able to confirm the onward operator, times or fare from an official source, so treat that second leg as approximate and check it locally before you rely on it.

Frequently asked
Is there a direct public option from the airport?
No. Havaş does not run an airport coach to Didim, and no train reaches it either. The reliable approach is a confirmed Havaş coach as far as Kuşadası or Aydın, then a regional coach onward via Söke, then a local taxi at the Didim end. Plan for three legs and the best part of a day if you are doing it on public transport.
How much does the whole trip cost?
The confirmed part is the Havaş coach at ₺550 per person to Kuşadası or Aydın. On top of that, budget roughly ₺200 for the onward coach via Söke and ₺300 for a local taxi at the Didim end — those two figures are our estimates, not published fares. That puts one traveler at roughly ₺1,050. A fixed-price private transfer is around ₺4,900 for the whole car door-to-door, and a metered taxi around ₺4,800; both of those are estimates too.
What about arriving in the evening or at night?
The Havaş first leg runs late — the Kuşadası coach has 21:00 and 23:30 departures — but the onward regional connection via Söke almost certainly does not, and you would be stranded partway. For an evening or night landing, a metered taxi or a pre-booked transfer is the dependable choice for Didim.
